The UAE weather department on Thursday issued a rain and dust alert for residents in the country.

"Convective clouds formation associated with rainfall and fresh winds causing blowing dust and poor visibility at times," the National Center of Meteorology said in a tweet.

The alert is applicable from 4pm until 8pm on Thursday.
