Various areas of the UAE witnessed heavy to moderate rain, accompanied by a significant decrease in temperatures and low horizontal visibility.
In a statement, the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has urged motorists to be extra cautious on the roads while driving due to low visibility and minor flooding in various areas of the country.
The waterlogged roads caused traffic chaos earlier Thursday in Sharjah and Dubai.
The NCMC reiterated its previous cautions and warnings to mariners in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea, due to the high seas and strong currents.
