Expect foggy, humid weather in UAE until Sunday
Motorists urged to take precautions and follow the traffic regulations.
Fog and mist are expected to blanket parts of the UAE in the mornings for the rest of the week, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has said.
The NCM has called on motorists to take all precautions and adhere to the traffic regulations due to fog formation and poor visibility.
During the early hours, fog took over western, internal and some northern areas of the country.
In general, the weather forecast for today is fair to partly cloudy, with a probability of some convective clouds formation accompanied rainfall over some northern and eastern areas at noon.
The relative humidity is likely to increase during night and early morning over some coastal and internal areas.
Light to moderate winds, freshening at times with rising dust at noon over some exposed areas.
Sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.
The NCM also reported that humidity, accompanied with fog and mist, will continue to affect various parts of the country until Sunday.
In an earlier report the NCM has also warned of the possibility of a tropical cyclone formation in the Arabian Sea. The NCM said it will keep monitoring the situation and provide updates accordingly.
