Dust, fall in mercury predicted today
The dust clouds will reappear in the country today, and temperatures are expected to fall as unstable weather conditions continue this weekend.
High winds whipped up a dust storm and led to high temperatures on Friday morning, with the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology in Abu Dhabi advising people with asthma to stay home or wear masks. While visibility cleared during the day, it is expected to reduce again today with southerly winds in the morning becoming fresh northwesterly by afternoon, blowing dust and sand into exposed areas. Temperatures are expected to fall significantly during the day.
Cloud will increase, with chances of scattered rain in the country rising to thunderstorms during the evening. The sea will be rough, and residents should continue to take care on the water, the NCMS said. — news@khaleejtimes.com
