World champion Felix Baumgartner to open Al Ain Aerobatics Show
AL AIN - Felix Baumgartner, world champion (BASE Jumping), and the first to cross the English Channel in a free fall, (Dover-Calais in 2003), will open the Al Ain Aerobatics Show 2005 - FAI World Grand Prix on January 24.

The event will be organised under the patronage and presence of General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Speaking to Khaleej Times, Major General Staff Pilot Mohammed bin Barak, General- Coordinator of the Al Ain Aerobatic Show 2005 said that the campaign of the show helped add new sponsors to the aerobatic competition.

He added that the first day of the air show would start with UAE Para Motors and include a demonstration by aircraft manufacturers (Italy, Switzerland, France), displays by different teams (Paradax, Jet Man, Felix etc), air musical (theatre in the sky) and military team shows from the UAE, India, Pakistan, Jordan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and Russia.
“In addition to the aerobatic skills on display, full amenities will be available at the site to make certain the young and the old alike enjoy this spectacular event. The purpose-built site within the airport will include VIP chalets, grandstand seating, a special pavilion of aviation exhibitions, food court, children's play area and a heritage village,” he said.
