Woman threatens to beat man with shoe, lands in UAE court

Abu Dhabi - She told him to shut up or else.

A girl landed in court after threatening to beat a young man with her shoe in Abu Dhabi.
The victim testified in court that the young woman had said, "If you don't shut up, I'll take off my shoe and beat you with it."
She said this without any other contextual or logical reasons for her anger, such as ordering him to stop or do something which could harm her, as per Al Bayan report.
The public prosecution had investigated the matter and listened to the witnesses testimony who were there when she threatened him.
The criminal court fined her Dh1,200 as well as the legal fees, then referred her case to the civil court which would determine the fine she must pay to the victim in damages.
She appealed the ruling at the secondary and federal courts to no avail.
