It was a wet start to the weekend in UAE as rain hit parts of the UAE this Friday (April 15) morning.
Earlier this week, the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has issued a weather report for Tuesday to Friday, saying that on Tuesday and Wednesday the UAE will be affected by a surface low pressure extending over the south western areas of the Arab Peninsula associated with different amounts of clouds from the west and southwest.
The forecast for today was that unstable weather will continue, with clouds amount increasing over different areas of the country, associated with some towering clouds and varying intensity of rain over islands, different areas of the Abu Dhabi, including Liwa, Al Ain and some areas in the northern emirates.

Moderate to fresh winds will be strong at times over sea and exposed areas, causing blowing dust/sand and reduce the horizontal visibility at times.
The met department took to Twitter to inform residents about rain in various parts of the UAE:
Sea will be rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf and becoming rough in the Oman sea by afternoon.
