It is not only Kabayans but even followers of beauty pageants who should be heading to the BurJuman mall today where Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray will be meeting and greeting fans during the Xpedition Fashion Night event, that will feature Dubai-based designers showcasing their latest collection from 6pm onwards.

The Australia-born Filipino model, singer and beauty pageant queen, who is on her first visit to the UAE, will be in town until September 21, during which time the stunner will also be gracing the Xpedition Annual Gala Awards that's taking place at the Grand Millennium Dubai tomorrow night, from 7pm onwards.

Gray has a mixed heritage. Her father is Australian-Scottish while her mother is a Filipina. She moved to Manila after her schooling when she was 18 and worked as a model. She loves music and has a master's in music theory from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. No wonder she was the lead singer of her school's jazz band while also starring in local productions of the popular musical 'Miss Saigon'. Blessed with a wonderful voice, she's also  made a music video titled 'We're in this Together.' Gray is an avid traveler and often writes about her journeys in her blog.
