In another video, showers lash the streets as cars move cautiously through the downpour. Rainwater is seen quickly accumulating, leaving roads waterlogged and drivers navigating puddles and flooded patches.

Storm Centre also shared a video of how torrential rain pounded the mountainous areas of RAK overnight, creating dramatic scenes as water cascaded down the slopes.

Gloomy skies and cool breezes swept across the Emirate on Saturday afternoon, casting a greyish hue over streets and neighborhoods as residents felt the refreshing chill following recent rainfall.

The renewed rainfall comes a day after the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) confirmed that the main wave of rainfall affecting the UAE has passed. However, the weather department said cooler temperatures and occasional showers are expected to continue through the weekend.

Amid the unstable weather, the UAE recorded its lowest temperature since the start of the winter season, with the mercury dipping to 3.5°C on Saturday.

The drop in temperatures comes after Friday’s heavy rainfall across parts of the UAE, which led to flooding and waterlogged roads, highlighting the challenges of recent unstable weather.

Over the past two days, intense conditions have affected homes and establishments nationwide. In response, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) urged private-sector companies in the hardest-hit areas to allow employees to work remotely on Friday.

The Ministry of Interior also urged residents to prioritise their safety amid ongoing adverse weather, including strong winds and fluctuating temperatures. The authority issued safety guidelines for the public to follow during this period.

Authorities across the UAE continue to issue alerts as heavy rain and thunderstorms affected the northern Emirates and moved toward other parts of the country.
