UAE weather alert: Unstable conditions with rain forecast from December 12

The wettest day in the forecast is Sunday (December 14) with heavy rain and thunderstorms expected. Families planning to head outdoors need to prepare for potentially disruptive weather.

Another round of unstable conditions is expected on Tuesday (December 16) with forecast lightning and thunderstorms in some areas.

Winds will blow from the southeast to the northeast, occasionally shifting to the northwest. Speeds will be light to moderate, becoming stronger with clouds and rain, and may cause blowing dust over land at times.

The Arabian Gulf may experience rough seas at times, while the Sea of Oman will remain slight to moderate. If venturing out in the sea or going to the beach, people should take precautions.
