Sharjah Police have issued an advisory urging all workers and employers to exercise heightened caution at work sites due to the unstable weather conditions in the UAE.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, the authority emphasised the importance of prioritising the health and safety of all personnel, particularly at outdoor locations where the weather may make continuing work difficult.

Authorities stressed that strict adherence to occupational health and safety rules is important both while performing tasks and when commuting to and from work sites. They also emphasised that safety measures are crucial to prevent accidents and ensure the wellbeing of workers during adverse weather.

Meanwhile, Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has urged private educational institutions across the emirate to take extra precautions in light of unstable weather expected over the coming days.

In an official statement posted on social media platform X, the KHDA noted, "in line with guidance from UAE authorities, schools are being asked to prioritise the safety of their staff and, where possible, consider flexible or alternative work arrangements as part of their preventive measures."

"We are also aware that some schools and early childhood centers may be holding classes and extracurricular activities during the holidays. However, we strongly advise against organising any outdoor or off-campus activities for students during this period to ensure their safety. Stay safe," KHDA added.
