UAE weather: Yellow alert issued for wind; fair to partly cloudy conditions expected

Fog or mist may form over some internal areas

UAE residents can expect a fair to partly cloudy day on Wednesday, January 29, according to National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). A yellow alert has been issued for wind and rough sea, active till 10am today.

The met has also predicted a slight decrease in temperatures, along with a probability of fog or mist formation over some internal areas.

An earlier prediction by the weather department had expected the mercury to gradually increase.

Fresh northwesterly winds are expected to blow in the country, reaching up to 40kmph.

The sea will be moderate, becoming rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to slight in the Oman Sea. Wave height in the Arabian Gulf can reach 7ft offshore.
