UAE weather: Blowing dust to reduce visibility, rough seas forecast in Oman sea

It is likely to be humid by night and Friday morning over some internal areas

UAE residents can expect Thursday, January 23, to be dusty and partly cloudy at times, according to the National Centre of Meteorology's (NCM) weather bulletin.

The weather is likely to get humid by night and Friday morning over some internal areas with a probability of mist formation in western areas, the NCM forescast states further.

The Met department alerted residents of continuity of fresh Northeasterly winds reaching 40 km/hr causing blowing and suspended dust to reduce the horizontal visibility and rough sea at times in Oman Sea with wave height reaching 6 FT offshore until 2.30pm.

The highest temperature expected in the UAE today is 26°C, recorded in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Liwa. In terms of humidity, Abu Dhabi will experience levels ranging between 25% and 65%, while Dubai's humidity is forecasted to vary between 25% and 60%.

On Wednesday, highest temperature recorded in the UAE was 26.2°C in Al Shawamekh (Abu Dhabi) at 3.45pm. And the lowest temperature recorded was recorded at 3.4°C in Jais Mountain (Ras Al Khaimah) at 6.30am.
