UAE records lowest temperature of 3.5°C in RAK's Jebel Jais

As winter sets in across the country, weather conditions remain generally cool, with temperatures dropping further in inland areas during the early hours of the day

The lowest temperature recorded in the UAE on Saturday (December 20) was 3.5°C, according to National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). 

According to the weather department, the reading was taken at Jebel Jais Mountain in Ras Al Khaimah at 12am local time, marking the lowest temperature registered in the country so far this winter season.

Jebel Jais Mountain, the UAE's highest peak, is known for experiencing significantly cooler conditions, especially during the winter months, compared to coastal and desert areas.

The cooler weather comes a day after the recent rainfall over parts of the UAE, which led to flooding and waterlogged roads in some areas, highlighting the challenges of unstable weather in recent days.
