The UAE weather authority expects temperatures to dip only marginally over the coming days

Rains have lashed Fujairah on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, as temperatures in the northern emirate ranged between 17°C and 24°C.
The UAE's National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) stated that Al Bithnah, Skamkam, Al Rimailah and Al Sodah areas, all located in Fujairah, experienced light to moderate rains. In Ras Al Khaimah, Al Huwailat saw heavy showers, as the weather forecast expected the emirate to see the mercury dropping to 13°C on Wednesday.
A clip shared by Storm Centre showed vehicles driving along rain-slicked roads as rainwater covered the streets and windscreen wipers were in use. Watch the video here:

While some areas have already recorded near-freezing lows, overall daytime temperatures will remain largely stable, with only a slight decline forecast.
