Watch: Rains hit parts of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah as low of 11.6°C recorded in UAE

Temperatures are set to rise to 30°C in Abu Dhabi, 29°C in Dubai and 28°C in Sharjah

Residents across the UAE woke up to soaked roads and wet cars as rains hit parts of the country on Wednesday, March 11.

Temperatures also witnessed a dip amid the cooler weather with mercury dropping to a low of 11.6°C in Jais Mountain in Ras Al Khaimah at 12am.

Taking to social media, Storm Centre shared stunning visuals of the rain, which brought respite from recent rising temperatures in parts of Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.

Rain near Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque:

Meanwhile rainfall in Sharjah's Madam region caused roads to overflow.

Moderate rains in Dubai:

Meanwhile, conditions today will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with humidity expected by night and Thursday morning over some coastal and internal areas.

Temperatures are set to rise to 30°C in Abu Dhabi, 29°C in Dubai and 28°C in Sharjah. The emirates will see lows of 20°C, 21°C and 20°C respectively. 

Light to moderate winds will blow. The sea will be moderate to slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate, maybe rough at times by morning in the Oman Sea.
