Watch: Rains in some parts of UAE bring respite from early summer heat

Moderate to heavy rains swept through parts of the UAE on Tuesday, May 20, offering a respite from the rising summer temperatures.

A series of videos shared by Storm Centre captured the showers in the country’s eastern region, particularly along the roads of Al Ain. In some areas, water puddles began to form on the roads as the rain continued.

The unexpected downpour came on a day when the weather was otherwise fair and partly cloudy — making the rain a welcome relief from the early summer heat.
