UAE weather: Orange alert issued for wind; temperatures to drop significantly

An orange alert has been issued for fresh winds, which may become strong at times, and very rough sea. Yellow alert has also been issued in some places.

The alerts are active till 12 noon on May 7. Overall, UAE residents can expect partly cloudy weather at times with a significant drop in temperatures, as per a forecast by the National Centre of Meteorology.

Cconditions are likely to get dusty, with the winds causing blowing and suspended dust and sand.

Abu Dhabi Police has urged drivers to be cautious due to low visibility during high winds and dust. They have also been advised to not be distracted by taking any videos or using their phones during such weather conditions.
