UAE weather: Red, yellow alerts issued; fair to partly cloudy skies expected

Red and yellow alerts were issued, active till 9am today, for fog with a drop in horizontal visibility.

Overall, the weather in the UAE will be fair to partly cloudy at times on May 21, according to the forecast by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

The met department said that some clouds will appear eastward by afternoon.

NCM said that it could get humid by night and Thursday morning with a probability of fog or mist formation over some coastal and internal areas.

Winds will be light to moderate, freshening at times during daytime, with speeds of between 10kmph and 20kmph, reaching 35kmph.

The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.
