UAE weather: Temperatures to drop; dusty conditions likely

UAE residents can expect fair to partly cloudy weather conditions on Saturday, May 17, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

It could get dusty at times with a decrease in temperatures, the met department said.

According to the forecast, it could get humid by night and Sunday morning over some coastal and internal areas, with the probability of mist formation.

Winds will be light to moderate, shifting from southwesterly to northwesterly, occasionally freshening and causing blowing dust and sand. Wind speeds will range from 10kmph and 25kmph, reaching 40kmph.

The sea will be rough to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate, becoming rough at times in the Oman Sea.

It will be mostly sunny and temperatures in Abu Dhabi are likely to see a high of 37°C and a low of 27°C, while in Dubai, it will be 36°C with a low of 28°C. Sharjah will witness a high of 38°C and low of 24°C.
