UAE weather: Rains likely in some areas; Dubai temperatures to hit 30ºC

Light to moderate Northeasterly to Northwesterly winds are expected to blow across the country

UAE residents can expect some rainfall today, according to National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), with the Met issuing orange and yellow alerts in some parts of the country.

Rains are expected in these areas until 9am on Monday, March 9.

Conditions will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times with a chance of rainfall over some western, coastal areas and islands, according to the weather department.

Temperatures in Dubai and Sharjah will reach a high of 30ºC, while Abu Dhabi will see highs of 29ºC. The emirates will see lows of 22ºC, 20ºC and 21ºC respectively.

Overall temperatures in the country will reach a low of 14ºC in internal regions and rise to 34ºC in these areas.

Light to moderate Northeasterly to Northwesterly winds are expected to blow across the country. Gusts will be freshening at times, with a speed of 10-25kmph, reaching up to 35kmph.

The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman Sea.
