UAE weather: Rains likely; humid conditions expected

The Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will be slight to moderate, according to NCM

Residents in the UAE on Saturday (July 19) will get some relief from the intense summer heat, with rain likely in parts of the country, National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said.

Overall, conditions will be fair to partly cloudy, with a probability of some convective clouds formation associated with rainfall, especially in the easter and southern areas.

While the weather department noted of chance of rains, residents still need to take caution, as temperatures are expected to reach up to 48ºC in some areas of Abu Dhabi, such as Mezaira and Gasyoura.

Dubai will see highs of up to 45ºC while Abu Dhabi will reach up to 44ºC.

It will be humid by night and Sunday morning with a probability of mist formation over some western coastal and internal areas.

Winds will shift from southeasterly to northwesterly, remaining light to moderate at speeds of 10–25kmph, but could reach up to 40kmph, stirring blowing dust in some areas.

The Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will experience slight to moderate sea conditions.
