UAE weather: Red, yellow alerts issued for fog; temperatures to reach 47ºC in some areas

Red and yellow alert for fog were issued by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) for Saturday morning.
In a post on X, Abu Dhabi Police advised motorists to excercise caution while driving and follow the changing speed limits on electronic boards.

As for temperatures, residents in parts of the UAE should brace for intense heat on Saturday, with temperatures expected to climb as high as 47ºC, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

In Abu Dhabi, areas like Gasyoura and Al Quaa are forecast to hit 47ºC, while Mezaira could see highs of up to 46ºC. Dubai is expected to reach 43ºC, and Abu Dhabi will see a peak temperature of around 41ºC.
Humidity is expected to increase during the night and into Sunday morning, particularly along coastal areas. Overall, weather conditions will be fair to partly cloudy, with some cloud development expected in eastern parts of the country.
Winds will be light to moderate, shifting from southeasterly to northwesterly at speeds of 10–20 kmph, occasionally picking up and reaching up to 30 kmph.
Both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea will experience slight sea conditions.
