UAE weather: Alerts issued for fog; dusty skies likely

Humidity is expected by night and on Monday morning over some eastern internal areas

A red alert has been issued for fog, with a drop in visibility; the alert is active till 10am today. Yellow alerts have also been issued in parts of UAE for fresh northwesterly winds reaching 45kmph, and rough sea in Arabian Gulf with wave height reaching 7ft offshore.

The yellow alert is active till 1pm on Sunday (January 4). Overall, residents in the UAE can expect dusty to partly cloudy skies, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

The weather department noted that temperatures across the country will remain mild, not exceeding 29ºC, with Dubai seeing a low of 15ºC and Abu Dhabi dropping to 18ºC.
