UAE weather: Red alert for fog, rough seas; police reduce speed limits

Lowest temperature on Wednesday in Sharjah will be 13°C, while that in Dubai will be 16°C

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) in the UAE issued a red alert for fog on Wednesday, January 21 morning.
Abu Dhabi Police said that speed limits have been reduced on the following roads:
Salama Bint Butti road (Liwa–Zayed City) — 80km/h
Ahmed Khamis Al Hameli road ( Zayed City–Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Intl) — 80km/h
A yellow alert has been issued for rough seas as well.

Residents will witness partly cloudy to cloudy skies at times, especially over some coastal areas, with a decrease in temperatures.
The weather will be humid by night and Thursday morning over some internal areas, the NCM said in their bulletin.
Moderate to fresh Northwesterly winds, and strong at times causing blowing dust and sand, with blow with a speed of 15-30kmph, reaching 50kmph. The sea will be rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf and rough in the Oman Sea.
Temperatures in Dubai and Sharjah will reach a high of 23°C, while that of Abu Dhabi will be 24°C. Lowest temperature on Wednesday in Sharjah will be 13°C, Abu Dhabi will be 15°C and Dubai will be 16°C.
The lowest temperature recorded over the country on Tuesday morning was 7°C in Jais Mountain (Ras Al Khaimah) at 6am.
