UAE weather: Light rains expected; temperatures to dip to 7ºC

As residents near the weekend, they can expect light rainfall on Thursday, January 15, along with a drop in temperatures westward, according to a forecast by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

Weather conditions are expected to be fair to partly cloudy and cloudy at times over some coastal and northern areas.

Light to moderate winds are set to blow, fresh to strong at times, especially over the sea causing blowing dust and sand, reducing horizontal visibility over some exposed areas.

The sea will be moderate to rough, becoming very rough at times by night in the Arabian Gulf and moderate, becoming rough by night in Oman Sea.

Temperatures are expected to drop to a low of 7ºC in some areas of the country like Raknah and rise to a high of 28ºC in other parts.

The emirates of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah will reach lows of 17ºC, 16ºC and 15ºC and hit highs of 27ºC, 27ºC and 26ºC respectively.
