UAE weather: Red alert issued for fog; Abu Dhabi temperatures to dip to 17ºC

UAE residents can expect fair to partly cloudy conditions at times on Sunday (February 22), according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The weather department noted that there will be a slight decrease in temperatures on Sunday. Temperatures in Abu Dhabi can go as low as 17ºC, while mercury can reach 28ºC. Temperatures in Dubai can go as low as 19ºC, while mercury can reach 29ºC.
NCM also has put out and issued a red alert for fog from 11.30am to 10am.

It will be comfortable on Sunday, with temperatures not exceeding 30ºC across the country.

Light to moderate northwesterly to southwesterly winds are expected to blow across the country.
Winds will be freshening at times, with a speed of 10-25 kmph, reaching 35 kmph.
The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Sea of Oman.
