UAE weather: Temperature to drop to 9ºC in some areas; yellow fog alert issued

Humidity levels will range from 25 to 75 per cent in Abu Dhabi and from 25 to 70 per cent in Dubai

The weather today will be fair in general and partly cloudy at times, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said in its daily forecast.

Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds will blow, freshening at times, with a speed of 10–20, reaching 35 kmph.

The Met also issued yellow alerts for fog in some areas, with a drop in horizontal visibility expected until 10am today.

Temperatures could be as high as 32ºC in the country's internal regions. Mercury is set to rise to 31ºC in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. 

However, temperatures could be as low as 18ºC in Abu Dhabi, 20ºC in Dubai and 17ºC in Sharjah. Meanwhile, they will dip to a low of 9ºC in mountainous regions. 

It will be humid by night and Friday morning with a probability of fog or mist formation over some coastal and internal western areas. Levels will range from 25 to 75 per cent in Abu Dhabi and from 25 to 70 per cent in Dubai.

Conditions at sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman sea.
