UAE weather: Fog alert issued; lowest temperature 9°C

In Dubai, the lowest temperature will be 20°C and maximum 30°C, while that in Abu Dhabi will be 18°C and 32°C

The National Center of Meteorology has predicted that UAE weather on Saturday, February 14, will be fair in general and partly cloudy at times.

The NCM had warned of a chance of fog formation with a deterioration in horizontal visibility, which may drop even further at times over some coastal areas from 10pm on Friday (February 13) until 10am on Saturday.

The climate is expected to get humid by night and Sunday morning with a probability of fog or mist formation over some coastal areas. Humidity levels in internal areas will range from 10-30 per cent minimum to 65-80 per cent maximum.

Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds will blow, with a speed of 10-20 Km/h, reaching 30 Km/h. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Temperatures in internal areas will range between minimum 9°C and maximum 34°C on Saturday. In Dubai, the lowest temperature will be 20°C and maximum 30°C, while that in Abu Dhabi will be 18°C and 32°C. Sharjah temperatures will range between 15°C and 31°C on Saturday.

The highest temperature recorded over the country on Friday was 33.9°C in Barakah 2 (Al Dhafra Region) at 1:30pm.
