UAE weather: Red alert issued for fog; temperatures to dip to 10ºC

On December 7, the weather will be fair to partly cloudy, according to a forecast by the UAE's National Centre of Meteorology.

The Met predicted that low clouds will appear over the islands and some western areas.

There is also a red and yellow level fog alert issued from 2am to 9:30am today.

It will also be humid by night and Monday morning over some western areas. Levels will range from 30 to 85 per cent in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Temperatures could be as high as 31ºC in the country. Mercury is set to rise to 30ºC in Abu Dhabi and 30ºC in Dubai. 

However, temperatures could be as low as 19ºC in Abu Dhabi, 20ºC in Dubai and 10ºC in internal areas.

Light to moderate winds will blow in a southeasterly to northeasterly direction, with a speed of 10 to 20kmph, reaching 30kmph.

The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.
