UAE weather: Maximum temperature 48°C, rain expected in some areas

UAE residents can expect rain in some parts of the country on Saturday, August 9, as per the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). Maximum temperature is expected to hit 48°C today in internal areas of the country, while humidity levels will range between 15 per cent and 70 per cent.
In Dubai, the mercury will hit a maximum of 44°C and minimum of 34°C. Abu Dhabi temperatures will range between 35°C and 45°C, while that of Sharjah will be between 32°C and 43°C.
There will be a chance of some convective cloud formation eastward and southward by the afternoon. On Thursday, it rained in some areas, giving residents a welcome break from the harsh sun. Showers were witnessed in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain on Thursday afternoon, turning into hail later in the day. A yellow alert was also issued for rain in some parts of the country.

On Saturday, skies will be fair to partly cloudy in general. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds will blow, freshening at times during daytime, causing blowing dust, with a speed of 10 – 25 reaching 40 Kmph.
The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.
