UAE weather: Rains expected; Sharjah temperatures to hit 46°C

UAE residents will experience fair to partly cloudy weather conditions on Monday, August 24, with a chance of convective clouds developing over eastern areas by afternoon.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), cloud activity could bring brief spells of rain in some parts of the country.

Abu Dhabi will see a high of 45°C and a low of 33°C, while Dubai will record 45°C and 35°C, respectively. Sharjah will reach a high of 46°C and a low of 31°C.

Humidity is expected to rise overnight and into Tuesday morning, particularly along coastal areas, ranging from 20 per cent to 80 per cent in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah and 35 per cent to 80 per cent in Dubai.

Winds will be light to moderate, shifting from southeasterly to northeasterly and freshening at times, with speeds of 10–25 km/h, reaching up to 35 km/h.

The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.
