UAE weather: Temperatures to hit 41ºC in Abu Dhabi, Dubai; rain likely

The highest temperature on Wednesday is expected to be 47ºC in internal areas

The weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy in general on Wednesday, UAE's National Centre of Meteorology said.

There is a chance of convective clouds being formed eastward and southward by afternoon, which could bring rain.

Temperatures will hit 41ºC in Ajman, Abu Dhabi and in Dubai; they will see a high of 43ºC in internal areas like Gasyoura. The highest temperature on Tuesday of 47.3ºC was recorded at 1.30pm in Bada Dafas of Al Dhafra region.

Meanwhile, mercury will dip to 33ºC in Abu Dhabi and 34ºC in Dubai. The country will see a low of 31ºC in Fujairah. Sharjah temperatures will range between 32ºC and 42ºC.

The highest temperature on Wednesday is expected to be 47ºC in internal areas, while the mercury could dip to as low as 25ºC.

Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds will blow, freshening at times, causing blowing dust and sand, with a speed of 10–25kmph reaching 40kmph.

Conditions at sea will be slight to moderate at times in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.
