Abu Dhabi Police have issued an advisory warning residents about light to moderate rainfall, heavy at times, from Saturday (December 13) to Friday (December 19) in various areas of the emirate.
The police have advised the public to take precautions, stay alert and follow the instructions issued by the official authorities. Residents are urged to adhere to the speed limit of 80kmph, maintain an appropriate safety distance from other vehicles, avoid sudden braking and excessive deceleration when turning to prevent vehicle skidding, and pulling over to the side of the road if visibility is affected while driving.
Motorists are also urged to stay away from valleys and lowlying areas where water accumulates. The authority also urged motorists to avoid proximity to electrical power lines, open areas, and spots near trees during rainfall.
