The National Centre of Meteorology, NCM, has called on drivers and pedestrians to take all necessary precautions when on roads due to blowing dust and sand causing poor horizontal visibility.

In a statement today, the NCM, warned of the poor visibility of less than 2,000 meters at times due to fresh winds with speed reaching up to 50 km/hr at times in various coastal and inland areas of the country until 6 pm Wednesday.
The NCM said winds with will continue affecting the sea, with wave heights ranging from 6 to 8 feet, and peaking up to 10 feet until Thursday morning.

Earlier this week, high tide lashed a Sharjah road due to which it had to be temporarily closed.
The NCM has predicted hazy and partly cloudy weather for today with a slight drop in the temperature.
Temperatures will range from 40 to 44°C in the interior regions, 36 to 40°C along the coast and 30 to 38°C in the mountains.
The maximum humidity would be 70 to 80 per cent across coastal, 75 to 80 per cent in interior regions and between 50 to 70 per cent in the mountains.
Winds reaching speeds of 50kph are also likely in some areas.
Fresh Northwesterly winds might blow dust and sand over some exposed areas. Sea will be rough to very rough in Arabian Gulf and rough in Oman sea.
