His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on Thursday visited His Highness Shaikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, at his palace in Saqr bin Mohammed City, to ask about the health of his son Shaikh Ahmed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi and others who were injured in an incident in Marib last September, while taking part in the Arab coalition, led by Saudi Arabia to back the legitimacy in Yemen.

Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; and Shaikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah were also present.


Dr Shaikh Sultan was accompanied by Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Seaports and Customs in Sharjah, Shaikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman bin Salem Al Qasimi, head of the office of Ruler of Sharjah.While visiting the Ruler of RAK, Shaikh Salem was assured about the health of Shaikh Ahmed bin Saud Al Qasimi. He wished them good health and speedy recovery.

Dr Shaikh Sultan and Shaikh Saud exchanged cordial views. The Ruler of Sharjah also exchanged views with the injured, including Shaikh Ahmed. Dr Shaikh Sultan said the UAE Armed Forces' heroes displayed courage in the battlefields, while defending the truth and in support of their brothers in Yemen.


He prayed to Almighty Allah to bestow His mercy on the martyrs and protect the UAE. For his part, the RAK Ruler, said the leadership is filled with pride for the sacrifices by Emirati sons, noting that the people of the UAE are prepared to lay their lives for the nation.

Among others present were Shaikh Omer bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Shaikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Head of the Department of Customs and Chairman of RAK Free Trade Zone, others Shaikhs and senior officials. - Wam
