The last time it rained in Ras Al Khaimah, on December 18, water seeped into several homes, causing damage. Residents reported that a few cars were affected, with some hit by falling tree branches and debris overnight. Many said the incident happened suddenly, leaving most unaware of the situation until they stepped outside the next morning.
The NCM also warned on Tuesday, December 30, that residents can expect strong, fast winds for two days, continuing through New Year’s Eve on Wednesday, December 31.
Residents and tourists in the UAE are set to welcome the New Year with slightly cooler temperatures. While the NCM has not yet predicted rainfall for December 31, the weather is expected to be cloudy and windy, with lows of 8°C in some areas, 10°C on January 1, and highs reaching 22°C on both days.
