Poor visibility due to blowing dust disrupted traffic movement at several roads in the UAE on Sunday morning.

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said in a statement that visibility would decrease to less than 2,000 metres because of blowing dust and sand on roads between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah.
The NCM has warned motorists to take precautions on roads in the expected bad horizontal visibility in most areas of the country.
Dubai Police also warned motorists via Twitter to take extra caution while driving during low visibility. Motorists are urged to take extra caution.

An accident stalled traffic on the D63 Al Qurda Road near Motor City towards the city, according to Google Map reports.

Shaikh Zayed Road witnessed traffic snarls after an accident occurred on E11 Sheikh Zayed Road nearAl Safa Road.

Another accident has been reported on E311 Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, near Dubai silicon oasis, causing delays.


Slow moving traffic was reported on Sharjah roads with heavy congestion on Al Taawun Road leading towards Dubai.

Delays were also expected on Al Wahda Street.
