Global Village is bringing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to Dubai as part of its 25th Season opening concert - and you're invited.
Dubbed "the biggest rock band on earth", Rockin' 1000 is inviting applications to join them and thousands of musicians and singers from around the world for what they're hoping will be the world's largest virtual rock concert.
The concert is set to be streamed right to the Main Stage of Global Village on October 30.
Interested musicians can visit their official website (www.rockin1000.com) to submit their applications, which will need to include a recorded video of themselves performing.
According to the website, the submitted clips will be vetted by a team of experts and inform shortlisted participants via email.

Video tutorials and sheet music will then be made available to participants, who will need to study them at home.
They will also need to compulsorily attend general rehearsals that will be held at the concert venue a day or two before the live show.
Rockin' 1000 was originally assembled in 2015 in a bid to get American rock band Foo Fighters to visit the organisers' hometown. One thousand Italian musicians collaborated to play Foo Fighters' 'Learn To Fly' in a park. The video went viral - and the rest was history, as their favourite rock band agreed to perform in the small town of Cesena, Italy.

The group has since organised similar concerts in France and Germany.
Fabio Zaffagnini, Founder and General Manager, Rockin' 1000, said: "Like Global Village, Rockin'1000 is full of extraordinary, passionate people, spanning generations and cultures. From newbies to professionals, kids to grandparents, metalheads to jazzmen, Rockin'1000 welcomes everybody."

He added that the group has been challenged to create a "historic concert", uniting 2,500 artists from around the globe. "We believe that if it is possible anywhere, it is possible in Dubai. We are calling for artists of all levels to join us on this wonderful journey."
