An Emirati man, 48, and a 31-year-old Uzbek woman were charged at the Dubai Court of First Instance with having illicit sexual relation that resulted in a love child.
The pair has also been accused of forgery after they allegedly forged a birth certificate, using a fake marriage contract in her name and that of another man.
They fraudulently obtained the forged birth certificate at a hospital, the court heard.
Prosecutors accused the two defendants of having sex out of the wedlock and aiding and abetting in forgery and use of forged document.
The arrests were made on July 27 and a case was registered at Al Rafaa Police Station.
According to the public prosecution arraignment sheet, the two accused forged a birth certificate by filling it in with false information in a way to claim the girl was the daughter of another man.
The couple admitted to the prosecution investigator to having an illicit sexual relation and a baby girl out of it. They also confessed they used a fake marriage contract and had got a birth certificate issued for them at the hospital.
A DNA test on the baby and the male defendant showed he is her biological father, as per a report from the general directorate of criminal evidence and criminology.

The forged documents were enclosed to the case file.
The trial continues on November 25.
