UAE's Hidden Gems: Trying out world's 'most expensive' biryani

Dubai - Have you tasted a biryani topped with 23-carat pure edible gold? The Royal Gold Biryani at Bombay Borough looks just as it sounds. Carefully curated with a selection of India’s unique flavours, and ingredients, it packs four varieties of biryani rice, and unending proportions of kebabs including lamb chops straight out of the ovens from the old quarters of Delhi’s Jama Masjid. And all of this is topped with 23-carat edible gold, making it the most expensive biryani in UAE, if not the world.

Heard of a little corner shop or a hole-in-the-wall eatery that’s rumoured to sell the best burger, or the best sandwich, or the best kebab? Or another ‘little-known place’ that ‘launches a thousand ships’? UAE’s Hidden Gems, our weekly series, will feature one such place a week, every Wednesday. This week we hit the heart of Dubai's fine dining scene at DIFC in search of the world's most expensive biryani experience.
