"The world faces numerous health challenges, and the UAE is committed to supporting international collective action to address them and encouraging innovations and scientific solutions for the common good of humanity," he added.

The country's health initiative reflects the UAE's broader goals for 2025, which was declared the Year of Community.

Sheikh Mohamed on January 27 encouraged "all those who call the UAE home" to contribute towards improving the community.

"Hand in hand we will work to strengthen social bonds, foster shared responsibility, and unlock potential for inclusive and sustainable growth," he said in a social media post.

With 2025 announced as Year of Community, the country has also seen an improved ranking in the World Happiness Index 2025, positioning itself above the UK, the US, Germany, France, Singapore and all Arab countries.

Interestingly, the UAE ranks 16th in the world for donating money and 19th for volunteering time, but ranks 67th in the world for helping a stranger.
