UAE: Sheikh Mohamed receives Syria's Ahmed Al-Sharaa, discusses fraternal relations

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today received Ahmad Al-Sharaa, President of the Syrian Arab Republic, who is on a working visit to UAE.
During the meeting, which took place at Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi, the two presidents discussed the fraternal relations between the two countries. They touched upon ways to enhance their cooperation and joint work, especially in the development and economic fields, to achieve mutual interests and benefit the two peoples.
The two sides also exchanged views on a number of regional issues of common concern, stressing the importance of working to strengthen the foundations of peace, security and stability in the Middle East for the benefit of all its countries and the development and prosperity of its peoples.

Sheikh Mohamed reiterated the UAE's position towards supporting the Syrian Arab Republic and everything that serves their interests and contributes to achieving their aspirations for development, stability and building a prosperous future.
The Syrian President expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Mohamed for the UAE's supportive stance toward Syria and its people.
He also expressed his appreciation for the UAE President's keenness to strengthen fraternal relations between the two countries, wishing the country continued progress and prosperity.
The Syrian President arrived in Abu Dhabi earlier today and was received at Al Bateen Airport by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of UAE, and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and a number of senior officials.
