5,000 UAE residents to celebrate Abu Dhabi ranked world's safest city for 9 consecutive years
Students, teachers and community members to join hands for a massive human formation congratulating the Capital

Around 5,000 students, teachers, parents, and community members will gather at Al Shamkhah Police Grounds in the Capital on Sunday to form a massive human formation reading: ‘Congratulations Safest City in the world Abu Dhabi.’
Dressed in white, the participants, mainly from Shining Star, Sunrise International and Ryan International schools, will come together to celebrate Abu Dhabi’s recognition as the safest city in the world for the ninth consecutive year, according to global database Numbeo.

The event is part of the UAE’s 2025 theme, ‘Year of Community,’ declared by President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, under the slogan 'Hand in Hand' in a national initiative.

It is presented by Adeeb Group and KR Group, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Police, and organised by the Pudhumai Thamizhachi Women’s Team, UAE. The formation is also expected to earn a spot in the Einstein World Records, a UAE-based record-keeping body.
“This is more than just a record attempt,” said Sridevi Sivanandam, founder of Pudhumai Thamizhachi. “It’s a gesture of heartfelt gratitude to the visionary leadership of this country. Abu Dhabi continues to set an example of what a safe, secure, and inclusive city can be.”
She added, “I’m thrilled to see people from all walks of life joining hands to honour this achievement and show the strength of our community.”
Abu Dhabi ranked first out of 382 cities in Numbeo’s 2025 global safety index, holding the title every year since 2017. Authorities attribute the ranking to innovative safety strategies and the strong sense of public trust built by the Abu Dhabi Police.
Organisers say the human formation will mark a milestone for community spirit and serve as a symbolic tribute to the values that make the UAE a global model of safety and unity.
