UAE carried out 168 search and rescue missions during first three months of 2025

The UAE carried out 168 search and rescue operations in the first three months of 2025, the UAE National Guard Command announced on Wednesday.

These operations — carried out on sea and land — were conducted within the country as well as internationally between January 1 and March 31.

This included 23 search and rescue missions done by the Coast Guard in the waters of the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, the authority revealed.

Meanwhile, the National Search and Rescue Centre undertook 145 operations, including 34 search and rescue missions and medical evacuations in coordination with relevant authorities.

The centre also conducted nine medical transport and air ambulance missions within the country and four similar operations abroad.

The authority urged the public to report any emergencies requiring immediate assistance by contacting the Search and Rescue Emergency Line at 995 or the Coast Guard Emergency Line at 996.
