President Sheikh Mohamed and US President Donald Trump discussed ongoing efforts for a Gaza ceasefire to maintain regional stability, in a phone call held Tuesday.
After a fragile two-month ceasefire, Israel carried out airstrikes on Gaza, killing over 400 people, in one of the biggest single-day tolls since the war erupted, Palestinian health authorities said on March 18.
The UAE President stressed the need for viral humanitarian aid to reach the people of Gaza. He also reiterated the UAE's support for two-state solution as the foundation for a lasting peace in the region.

Recently, Arab leaders adopted a $53-billion reconstruction plan for Gaza that would avoid displacing its 2.4 million inhabitants, as opposed to Trump's 'Riviera of the Middle East' proposal.
After the US President's proposal to displace Palestinians to neighbouring countries drew international condemnation, the Arab proposal saw backing from around the world, including Muslim nations and European countries.
During Tuesday's phone call, the two leaders also discussed the outcomes of the recent official visit to the US by Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser.
The visit resulted in the announcement of key agreements and partnerships between the two countries, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence, advanced technology, infrastructure, and energy, with both sides noting the positive impact these developments will have on the future of bilateral relations.
Palestinian health authorities say Israeli air and ground campaign in Gaza, which resumed last week, has killed a total of more than 50,000 people. Israel said Hamas killed more than 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and took around 250 people into captivity in Gaza.
