UAE President orders release of 963 prisoners ahead of Eid Al Adha

The UAE President ordered the release of 963 inmates from penal and correctional facilities who had been sentenced in various cases.

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan pledged to pay the financial obligations incurred in implementing these sentences, ahead of Eid Al Adha.

The UAE President's humanitarian initiative comes within the framework of giving released inmates a chance to start a new life, strengthen family ties, and instill the values ​​of forgiveness and compassion in society.

Over 1400 inmates will be released on the occasion of Eid, as per announcements by leaders across the Emirates, including the Sharjah Ruler and the Fujairah Ruler. This practice is observed every year, where rulers show mercy on the detainees ahead of religious occasions.
