UAE: New app launched in Sharjah to pay for parking, settle fines
The emirate's parking system has witnessed multiple changes since the last quarter of 2024

A new app to pay public parking fees, check and settle fines was launched in Sharjah, the emirate's municipality said on Tuesday.
The app, which is called Mawqef, features interactive maps to easily locate subscription zones and smart parking yards around the emirate.
Users will also receive app notifications about their usage of parking places and renewing their subscriptions.

They can also use Mawqef, which is tailored for individuals and businesses and can easily be accessed using UAE PASS, to issue and renew subscriptions for public parking and smart yards.
Sharjah announced last month that smart paid parking services are now operational in the city.
A total of 392 parking spaces are available in 2 smart parking areas that opened in Al Khan and Al Nad.
