UAE air defences engage 4 ballistic missiles, 26 drones from Iran on March 20

UAE air defences, on Friday, March 20, dealt with 4 ballistic missiles and 26 drones.

Since the start of the brazen Iranian attacks, UAE air defences have dealt with 338 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,740 drones.

These attacks resulted in the death of 2 members of the armed forces while performing their national duty, as well as the killing of 6 civilians of Pakistani, Nepalese, Bangladeshi, and Palestinian nationalities.

A total of 158 people were also injured, with injuries ranging from minor to moderate to severe.

The injured included Emiratis, Egyptian, Sudanese, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comorian, Turkish, Iraqi, Nepalese, Nigerian, Omani, Jordanian, Palestinian, Ghanaian, Indonesian, Swedish, and Tunisian nationalities.

The Ministry of Defence affirmed that it remains on high alert, ready to deal with any threats and firmly confront actions that aim to destabilise the nation’s security, ensuring the protection of its sovereignty, stability, and national interests, as well as safeguarding its capabilities.
