During the live broadcast of the draw, several past winners shared their experience, joining in online from their home. When Finnish expat Tero Kilpelae saw that he had won Dh100,000, he was confused. “I was on the sofa, and it was around 2am when I checked my mobile,” he said. “When I saw my number, I couldn’t believe it. Was I awake or sleeping?”

He added that it was important for players to not lose sight of the fact that it was a game and not spend their life savings on it.

Another winner, Mohammed Hashif shared that his winning would help him apply for the UAE driving license and clear some debts. “I will continue playing,” he said. “I dream that I will win the jackpot one day.”
